After five long years of deliberations, the Personal Data Protection Bill was withdrawn recently. A new bill is expected that doesn’t have an estimated time of arrival. Questions of privacy, data security and data ownership for millions of Indians are hot once again. Experts, however, are worried about people’s rights as the law remains in a limbo.
