Capillary Technologies, an AI-powered loyalty management firm, has acquired Kognitiv, a provider of omnichannel loyalty solutions, as part of its strategic expansion into North America.

This acquisition marks Capillary’s fourth investment in the loyalty sector since 2021 and expands its global presence across the US, ANZ, SEA, and UAE markets.

Capillary’s previous acquisitions include Persuade, Brierley+Partners, and Tenerity’s Digital Connect Assets (now Rewards+).

The acquisition allows Capillary to integrate Kognitiv’s solutions to enhance data-driven personalization and consumer engagement capabilities. Kognitiv’s clientele includes enterprise brands such as Petsmart, Hallmark, Yuu Rewards, Kirkland’s, Curaleaf, Sharjah Co-op, and Leading Hotels of the World.

Since merging with Aimia’s Loyalty Solutions business in 2020, Kognitiv has operated across 20 countries, focusing on data-driven loyalty management for global brands. Post-acquisition, Capillary aims to use AI-driven loyalty strategies to create measurable business outcomes for its over 100 global clients, including over 15 Fortune 500 brands.

Aneesh Reddy, Co-founder and CEO of Capillary Technologies, said, “Kognitiv’s expertise in omnichannel loyalty solutions aligns with our global expansion strategy. This acquisition will enable us to deliver impactful loyalty solutions that drive consumer engagement and business growth.”

In February last year, Capillary had raised $140 million in its Series D round, with $20 million earmarked for Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) payouts.
