Indian startups raised over $277 million from Aug 18 to Aug 23, 2025; Weaver Services tops the list

Between August 18 and August 23, 2025, as many as 15 Indian startups from diverse sectors raised over $277 million in funding from investors.

These sectors include Foodtech, Technology, Finance, Electronics, FMCG, AI, and Biotech. Last week, Indian startups raised over $346 million, with e-Pharmacy platform Truemeds raising $85 million alone.

High-value deals

A diverse range of sectors attracted investments during the week, with the finance sector leading the pack. Leading this sector was Weaver Services, which raised $170 million. Amnex Infotechnologies raised $52.68 million.

The list was followed by Babycare brand R for Rabbit, Goldi Solar, and Beyond Appliances, which collectively raised $46.75 million.

R for Rabbit raised $27 million, Goldi Solar raised $15.75 million, and Beyond Appliances raised $4 million.


Emerging startups

Food and Beverages brand DOBRA raised $170,000 in a Seed round, Kids’ lifestyle brand Famyo $460,000 in a Seed round, Foodtech startup House of Biryan raised $3.66 million, Biotech startup PeelOn raised $1 million, Edge AI hardware platform Edgehax raised $160,000 in a Seed round, Design-first lifestyle accessories brand Hexafun $510,000 in a Seed round, FMCG startup Mitra raised $1.6 million in a bridge funding round, FMCG startup Mithila Foods raised $170,000 in a Seed round, and Wearable device startup Aether MindTech raised $510,000 in a pre-Series A funding round.

Meanwhile, BharatGPT creator CoRover raised an undisclosed amount from HDFC Bank.


Mergers & Acquisitions

The period also witnessed strategic mergers and acquisitions. SaaS-based debt collections platform Credgenics acquired a majority stake in debt collection firm Arrise in a cash-and-stock deal.
