Mukesh Bansal’s AI venture Nurix AI has received fresh capital from global investment firm Prosus, Inc42 has learnt from sources.

The startup, which had earlier raised $27.5 Mn in a seed-cum-Series A funding round back in September 2024, bagged the fresh capital at a pre-money valuation of $67 Mn.

While Prosus has invested ₹28 Cr,  the startup’s existing investors including General Catalyst, Accel, and Mukesh Bansal have cumulatively invested ₹109 Cr, Nurix AI’s regulatory filings accessed by Inc42 suggest. Prosus confirmed its investment in Nurix AI to Inc42.

Nurix is expected to utilise the fresh capital to expand its operations and further strengthen its AI infrastructure.

Inc42 couldn’t independently verify whether this is a fresh round of investment or an extension of the September 2024 funding round

Questions shared with Nurix AI didn’t elicit at the time of publishing the story.

Founded in 2024 by Bansal and Abhishek Asawa, Nurix AI offers enterprises AI-based human-like voice and chat agents for customer service, sales and operations. It claims that its AI bots reduce 60-70% processing time, boost workflow timelines by 3X, leading to a 200% jump in throughput. The startup’s clientele features the likes of super.money, Myntra, Cult.fit, Aditya Birla Capital, among others.

It competes against the likes of Yellow. Ai, Skit. ai, Gupshup, Reliance-owned Haptik and Verloop, among others, in the growing agentic AI segment.

The startup was formed in Bansal’s startup incubator Meraki Labs and now has over 132 people in the team, as per LinkedIn. Bansal had earlier said, “India has deep AI talent to be at the forefront of this transformation and we are super excited to build India’s leading AI team to drive this charter.”

Besides Nurix AI, the seasoned entrepreneur also recently launched an AI-based edtech startup Fermi AI. Based out of Singapore, Fermi aims to disrupt the edtech segment in India and the US by prioritising AI-first learning for school students in STEM courses.

Bansal is doubling down on the Indian AI market at a time when it is growing at a prolific pace. The Indian AI market is expected to become a $126 Bn opportunity by 2030, with a potential GDP impact of $1.7 Tn by 2035, as per to Google and Inc42’s comprehensive Bharat AI Startups Report, 2026.
