FirstCry subsidiary GlobalBees continues to see more exits. After its chief executive officer Nitin Agarwal stepped down from his role last month, Inc42 has now learnt that GlobalBees’ three board of directors – Harsha Deepak Kumar, board representative of Lightspeed India Partners, Sudhir Kumar Sethi –  board representative of Chiratae Ventures and Kaveesh Chawla – board representative of Premji Invest have now resigned.

While the specific reasons behind their exits are not clear, the timing of their exits amid the startup’s CEO exit raises concerns.

Besides, all these key exits also come in the backdrop of GlobalBees seeing some senior level exits:

  • Damandeep Soni, CBO, GlobalBees (exited August, 2024)
  • Mohit Saxena, Senior VP, Globalbees (exited in February, 2025)
  • Abhishek Biswas, Category Head of home, kitchen, furniture, and appliances (exited in March, 2025)
  • Venkatesh SS, Executive VP, Operations
  • Deepak Khetan, CFO, and Head Corporate Development (exited June 2023)

A questionnaire sent to GlobalBees didn’t elicit any response till the time of publishing the story.

Founded in 2021, GlobalBees invests in and acquires D2C brands that sell their products on Amazon India, Flipkart, and other ecommerce marketplaces. It partners with companies that have built products based on consumer insights in niche categories like fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), sports, home organisation, and lifestyle.

The startup has acquired brands such as The Clownfish, andMe, Candes Technology, among others in the past.

The startup has raised over $175 Mn in total funding till date and counts the likes of Lightspeed and SoftBank among its backers. The startup competes with players like BRND.ME (formerly Mensa Brands), Evenflow and GOAT Brand Labs.

Just last month, FirstCry infused INR 73 Cr in GlobalBees as part of the first tranche of its total INR 146 Cr infusion.
