Alphabet-owned Google is reportedly looking to expand the production of Pixel smartphones in India by starting manufacturing its latest, Pixel 10 series.
The company already assembles Pixel 9a in India. It aims to produce Pixel 10 series in the country not only for domestic sales but also exports, ET reported.
Alphabet is in discussions with its local vendors Foxconn and Dixon Technologies, along with new partners like Bhagwati Products, for the production of Pixel 10, the report added.
“The initial launch lot of Pixel 10 Series has been imported from Taiwan. However, company officials have had meetings with their production partners in India and also newer potential partners to expand production, including the new model and exports,” an executive was quoted as saying.

Launched on August 20, Pixel 10 hit stores across the globe on August 28.
Production of Pixel 10 in India will further solidify India’s position as a leading smartphone producer. Notably, Google kicked off production of its Pixel 8 smartphone series in India in August last year.
