Apple India saw its net profits jump 16% to INR 3,196 Cr (about $3.6 Bn) during the fiscal year 2024-25 (FY25) as against INR 2,745.7 Cr (about $3.1 Bn) in the year ago fiscal. The rise in the bottom line came on the back of a steady growth in the company’s top line.

The Cupertino-based giant’s local subsidiary, Apple India Pvt. Ltd., also clocked a 19% increase in operating revenue to INR 79,060.5 Cr (about $8.8 Bn) in the fiscal under review from INR 66,727.7 Cr (about $7.4 Bn) in FY24.

Including a finance income of INR 176.8 Cr and an other income of INR 141.1 Cr, Apple India’s total income stood at INR 79,378.4 Cr in FY25.

Sale of traded goods, which includes the sale of iPhone, MacBooks, iPad and other products, was a strong revenue generating channel for Apple India. Revenue from this bucket stood INR 74,680.5 Cr in FY25, up 18% year-on-year (YoY).

Meanwhile, sale of service added another INR 4,380 Cr to Apple India’s operating revenue during the fiscal. This includes its Apple Care services and other technical and support services it provides to the customers.

It is pertinent to note that Apple Inc, the big tech giant’s parent, recorded a net sale of $416.2 Bn for the entire financial year ended September 2025 (FY25) against a net profit of $112 Bn. The Nasdaq-listed entity’s FY25 stretched from October 2024 to September 2025.

That said, Apple’s steady growth in India comes as the company looks to deepen its omnichannel sales strategy in the country. Currently, the company has three flagship stores in the country – Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru. It plans to open another two outlets this year in Pune and Hyderabad.

What also helped the company improve its margins was its “Make In India”. In April, the big tech announced that it will shift the entire assembly of iPhones sold in the US to India by as early as 2026.

Currently, Apple locally manufactures its entire range of iPhone 16 series in India and has begun the manufacturing of its latest iPhone 17 too. Foxconn, Tata Technologies and Pegatron are some of the major contract manufacturers of Apple in India.

Overall, the company’s exports of iPhones from India rose 76% and stood at INR 1.50 Lakh Cr (free on board value) in FY25.
